The Biomedical Engineering Department at KMCTITM was established in the academic year 2023-24. This department offers a three-year Diploma in Biomedical Engineering.
Electronics and Computer Systems have transformed the field of medicine. It has become easy to diagnose and treat diseases by the application of these systems. The need for expertise to design and develop such devices brought about a revolution which gave birth to the department of Biomedical Engineering. A Biomedical engineer can be termed as the doctor of the equipment’s sans which a doctor, a surgeon or a multi-specialty hospital is vulnerable. Biomedical Engineering are the one who designs devices and measures that solve medical and health - related problems by homogenizing biology and medicine with engineering principles and practices.
